BORGinsole works together with laptop and PC suppliers in order to provide the right devices and drivers if desired. The 2D Video App is composed of two elements: the Capture Software and the Analysis Software. These are available separately.

2D Video App Capture

How can you quickly make several perfect recordings with as few cameras as possible?

  • recording, trimming, image quality, ...
  • setting resolutions, rotating images, naming, saving
  • compression when saving,…

The Capture software is very user-friendly and offers many possibilities.

User-friendliness (only 2 clicks)

  • When 1 or 2 cameras are connected, the software will adapt its screen for 2 cameras.
  • Same for 3/4/5 or 6.
  • Naming of each camera (depending on the plane being filmed in, e.g. POST, FRONT, LEFT, RIGHT).
  • At your own option, 4 different resolutions can be set per camera, easy to switch (e.g. an image posterior to the subtalar joint in focus on the feet can be easily adapted to a total body view POST).
  • Each camera that can rotate on its support can be easily converted in the software from portrait to landscape. Length and width can be adapted.
  • 1 image can be presented in maximum size in order to have a clear view, the other images are then visible in a smaller frame.
  • Frame rates can be easily adapted; this always synchronously for all linked cameras.
  • Exposure and Gain are easily set per camera.
  • With several cameras, a choice can always be made as to which images you do and do not wish to record.

Recording possibilities

  • The software is developed to make the right recording with as few actions as possible.
  • The recording time can be variably set 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 sec ,… 1 min.
  • The selection of the images can be done per camera (POST, FRONT, ….).
  • The start of the recording can be indicated with the scroll bar.
  • Then the storage time can be set (e.g. 2.5 sec are 3 steps while walking).
  • The quality of the storage and the related storage size of the .avi file can be set as desired.
  • The naming of the file that is saved is automatically set, but with variables. E.g. walk 4 km/h or walk 6km/h or Run 11 km/h or Run 13 km/h.
  • There is also a possibility of extra designating the file name e.g., with running shoes, barefoot, …
  • In this way, each file will be easily recognisable. The file name is preceded by date and time in order to, in each case, have a unique file name for e.g. an annual audit.

2D Video App Analysis

How can you quickly make several perfect recordings with as few cameras as possible?

  • Calibration of video and grids.
  • Angles: how to measure, where to measure, what to measure, which values (154 or 26 or -26 or…).
  • Automatic reports for STJ, TTJ, Knee and hip.
  • Compare reports: left and right; last year and this year, STJ and ankle…
  • Up to 4 images can be played synchronously.
  • When selecting one of the synchronously recorded images, the 3 other images will, if desired, be opened as well.
  • Line segments: can be drawn horizontally, vertically and slanted.
  • Grids can be introduced.
  • Angles can be measured vis-à-vis the horizontal, vertical and arbitrary.

Reporting

  • The strength of the system lies in the fact that an automatic report is generated.
  • E.g. STJ measurement at 6 moments presents the photos involved in frames and the angle measurements per frame in a table with standard values.
  • If synchronous images are recorded, the instantaneous photos involved will also appear in the report.
